Former Saurer-Alma site becomes new residential district

Moderator: Thomas Kästle, managing director of eloprop GmbH, Regensburg

Eloprop CEO Thomas Kästle moderated the citizen information event organized by Sozialbau Kempten GmbH on district development on Leonhardstraße.

Over the next few years, an exciting, contemporary and diverse urban quarter will be built there on the approximately 51,000 square meter area of the former Saurer-Allma site.

The winner of the urban planning competition is the Tübingen-based architecture firm Hähnig + Gemmeke together with Fromm Landschaftsarchitekten.

On 06.12.2021, the architects presented the plans in the KultBox (bigBOX Kempten) as part of public participation with numerous interested parties.

The result will be an urban, mixed-use district with rental and condominiums, a local supplier, childcare, and space for cultural and creative professionals.
